Trinamool’s Chewang Bhutia recommends bringing back Ghising

Advocating on the sixth schedule of the Indian Constitution, the Trinamool Congress’s Kalimpong Block II, President, Chewang Bhutia today said that the Constitution recognized Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council (DGHC) is far better than the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA). “The Gorkhaland agitation happened in the hills, many politicians got lucky during the process. But the condition of the public remained stagnant”, he said.Saying that there is not much time for the GTA to rule, Bhutia added that GTA at present is in a state of coma. “Only the sixth schedule can bring a new dawn in the hills”, he reiterated.Further commenting on the GTA and its concerned people, the President said that those who are working against the sixth schedule are against the Constitution. Lastly, mentioning that the sixth schedule can to some extent solve the identity crisis of the hill people he appealed the public to welcome back and accept Subash Ghising and solve the issue.
