People in the Hills celebrated Makar Sakranti in a grand manner today. They performed ritual bathing marking the day at river Teesta, Rangit and Relly. The temples were flocked by the devotees. Mammoth gathering was also witnessed at Triveni, the confluence of the Teesta and Rangit. The people after ritual bathing took Till sweets and fruits. Likewise many picnics groups were also seen on the day.
