Siliguri, Feb.12: A two-member team
from the Dental Council of India (DCI) visited the North Bengal Dental
College and Hospital last week for an inspection of the new building,
ahead of granting seats for post-graduate courses.
The dental college
had applied to the state health department and West Bengal University
of Health Sciences for granting 18 PG seats to the college for the
2013-2014 session in mid-May last year.
“The state
government had agreed to grant 12 seats and approached the DCI for their
consent on behalf of NBDCH. The DCI inspection has taken place and we
are waiting for their decision which will be intimated within a month or
two,” a NBDCH official said.
