Dharna at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi continues , today being 30th Day. under the leadershiip of Mrs Asha Gurung , President Naari Morcha , GJM members of Naari Morcha Central Committee, members of Vidyarthi Morcha , Delhi GJM unit , Haryana GJM and other supporters of Gorkhaland were present today. Supporters of the demand for a separate state of Telangana also joined the GJM team at Jantar Mantar and shared the dias
Ranjan Sharma , General Secretary of Delhi GJM has stated that representatives of Vidhyarthi Morcha ,ie youngsters are playing an active and pivotal role in the ongoing campaign at Jantar Mantar. Vickey Thapa, Diwakar Giri, Sundar Sewa and Rohit Shama of Vidhyarthi Morcha delivred their speech focussing on the issue of importance of education and intellectualiy amongst the students and young generation and the power of knowlede in a non violent movement. They also focussed on the point of geographic location of proposed Gorkhaland state and how the surrounding international borders may pose a threat to national security if the government refuses to respond to our concern.
Ranjan Sharma further said that GJM shall increse the tenure of the ongoing movement at Jantar till the end of March and we are preparing to get the police permission approved by the DCP , Parliament Police Station. We have also handed over Memorandums reiterating our statehood issue before the Hon'ble Prime Minister's Office. Union Home Ministers Office and the office of Mr Rahul Gandhi, Vice President , Congress party. We are expecting a responsive feed back from them in the upcoming meeting taking place shortly from now wherein a team lead by Mr Bimal Gurung , President GJMM Central Committee and Mr Rooshan Giri, General Secretary , GJMM Central Committee will attend .
