Focus Kalimpong's Photography Competition 2012 Results

Kelsang Tseten Bhutia, Dr Navin Jyoti Pradhan and Mrigendra Mishra bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively in the Photography Competition 2012, whose results were declared today. Organized by the Focus Kalimpong for the 2nd time, the theme for the competition this year was ‘Visit Kalimpong throughout the Year’. The participants could submit up till 5 photographs. Almost around 40 photographers partook in the competition. Beautiful photographs on scenery, culture, interesting/ eye catching scenes, etc. were exhibited.The top 3 winners received Rs 5000/-, Rs 4000/- and Rs 3000/-, respectively. While 3 others, Elimit Lepcha, Dhiraj Dhatraj and Ruben Khawas received Rs 1000/- each as consolation prize. Likewise, Zorden D Basi and Lakpa Tshering also received Rs 1000/- each as the judges’ choice.The prize amount for the top 3 winners was sponsored by Hotel & Restaurant Association, while the amount for the consolation prize was sponsored by Samuel Gurung.During the declaration of the results today, the president of Hotel & Restaurant Association, Sanjogita Subba along with the members of the association, veteran photographer of Focus Kalimpong, Ganesh Mani Pradhan and others were also present.
