GJMM comes up with a new agenda list

GJMM has called off its entire scheduled program set for the month of March. The series of Bandh called by GJMM last month has been withdrawn. However, a new program has been set in its place.
From March 9th to April 9th, there shall be Gorkhaland slogan shouting by employees from 12 pm to 1pm every day. There shall be mass silent rallies on March 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd. There shall be torch rallies on every Monday, Thursday and Sunday. More students will be sent to Delhi for Dharna, hoping that the Central Government will intervene by April 9th.
The above mentioned agenda list was decided in the Central committee meeting held in Kurseong today after the arrival of GJMM President from New Delhi.
The agitation and proposed strike had been earlier decided to demand creation of Gorkhaland and protest alleged interference by the West Bengal government in the functioning of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration.
GJMM General Secretary, Roshan Giri said that they called off the agitation accepting appeals made by the President, Union Home and Finance Minister to concentrate on development work for the people of the hills.
