Bikash Rai aka Paras, a resident of Falbari, Gorubathan Block, has committed suicide by slitting his own throat with a Khukuri. The incident took place on Thursday evening at Rai’s residence. The family members of the deceased after spotting the dead body informed the Police.
Deceased Rai was a teacher by profession. He was working as a temporary teacher at Nim Busty Primary School since 2002. He had applied for the teacher’s interview which was recently conducted by the GTA. However, he did not get through. It is thus opined that the Rai committed suicide due to the same. The family members informed that Rai had many times tried to commit suicide and was mentally disturbed since 2008. The body after post mortem was handed over to its family members.
