Kalimpong Sub- Divison functioning without Police In-charge

The Kalimpong Sub Division, which is regarded as one of the largest Sub Divisions under the state of West Bengal is compelled to function without a Police In-charge.
 
After the attack on Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders few days ago, the Kalimpong Thana In-charge, Prasad Pradhan has been transferred and the 2nd Officer, SD Lepcha is now looking after the Kalimpong Thana. Under the leadership of Lepcha, a series of raids are being conducted in order to nab the accused who were involved in the TMC brawl.
Though the Darjeeling District SP, Kunal Agarwal had a couple of times assured that an In-charge will soon be deployed in the Thana, till date no such individual has arrived.
There is news of one platoon of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) coming to Kalimpong by tonight and the CRPF officers also visited their camps in Kalimpong and inspected it today. It has been informed that one platoon of CRPF will be deployed at Regulated Market, 11 Mile. The Police will be taking help from the CRPF to arrest the accused against whom warrants have been issued. In the other hand, Dipesh Dahal, one of the arrested accused was produced at the Court today.
