Opposition parties condemn attack on TMC leader

Strongly condemning the attack on Chewang Bhutia, the General Secretary of Darjeeling Dooars People’s Forum Pravin Gurung, blaming the failure of administration, said Chewang Bhutia was asking for security since long from the administration because as he is the main eye witness of Madan Tamang murder case. But he was not provided security, what is the conspiracy behind this? he asked.

In this relation, General Secretary of Gorkha League Pratap Khati said, Bimal Gurung is saying that Trinamool Congress is spreading violence in the hills, but on the contrary the GJM are doing so. Not to let other political parties do anything in the hills, GJM is spreading violence, creating fears, he added. Likewise, the Gorkha Rajya Nirman Morcha (GRNM) has also condemned the incident.
