The Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar (Award) 2012 will be presented to poet Manoj Bogati. His name was declared today during the meeting of the Sahitya Akademi working council at Kolkata.
“Ghau ka Rangharu” Bogati’s second book which is a compilation of poems has been selected for the said award. The book was published in 2008. Bogati has been informed about the same through an e-mail by the council. He will receive the award on March 22nd 2013 during a program at Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Guwahati. It may be mentioned that Bogati has been conferred with Avijman Smrit Puraskar, Dewkota Smriti Swarna Padak and other awards. Till now he has published five poetic compilations. Bogati by profession is a correspondent of Nepali daily Samay Dainik since 1996. The 34 year old poet is a resident of Rongo-Dalgaon.
