Telangana issue has almost been finalized by the UPA. The cabinet will share the proposal with the President Mr. Pranav Mukherjee and then the will be taken up by the State Legislature of Andhra Pradesh, subsequently the bill put up before the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha respectively. Mulayam Singh and Omar Abdullah are against the concept of statehood as it amounts to divide and rule policy. NCP, RJD, BSP and Rashtriya Lok Dal are in favour of the statehood issued. Trinamool Congress is against and strongly opposed to be issued. Similarly Shiv Sena and CPIM is against whereas CPI is for and backing the demand. Andhra Pradesh CM Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy is likely to meet the Hon'ble Prime Minister and UPA Chair Person Smt. Sonia Gandhi to give finishing touch to the Telangana issue.
Ranjan Sharma General Secretary of Delhi GJMM says that it is important to strike the iron when it is hot. Lok Sabha Election is also around the corner and from the political view point this is a right time to strike a chord with the Government and raise our political issue i.e. demand of Gorkha Land. Delhi GJMM has already started Dharna Pradarshan at Jantar Mantar from yesterday i.e. 29.07.2013 and if the Telangana issue is finalised Delhi Unit is fully geared up for the movement for Gorkha Land. We shall conduct Padh Yatra from Rajghat to Jantar Mantar, meet the MP all over the city and apprise them about our issue which is much prior to the Telangana issue as the demand of Gorkha Land has been raised since the year 1907.
