KALIMPONG,23 Dec 2013: The TRIPIED and Lepcha Development Council under the Unreserved Community Ministry of the Indian Government have decided to jointly organise a ‘Unreserved Community Mela’ on December 26. The programme is expected to be presided over by Director of the Unreserved Community Ministry SK Gulya.
Vice-president of LDC Yusuf Simik called for a press meet at the Kalimpong town hall-located temporary LDC office and said the fore mentioned ‘Mela’ will be held at the Lepcha Tribal Hostel. He added the programme will comprise of several cultural and traditional events presented by people belonging to various communities. Further the representatives of TRIPIED Sikkim will also survey the traditional and cultural items showcased during the ‘Mela’. (EOIC)
