Siliguri, 12 February: Experienced striker Bhogley struck twice as Share Football Club of
Kalimpong trounced Chand Football Club of Tindharia 3-0 in the
9th Sukuna Gold Cup Football Tournament match at the Sukna High School
Ground in Sukna near Siliguri today.
Share began with a flourish and drew first blood in the 19th minute, when Bhogley fired in a brilliant cross.
Thereafter, the Kalimpong outfit totally dominated the proceedings and missed a series of sitters. At the start of the second half, Share was quick to take stock and four minutes after the lemon-break, Mike increased the margin, and four minutes later, Bhogley completed the tally.
With Share having a three-goal lead, Chand FC came all out attacking, looking for a consolation goal in the dying minutes, but in vain.
Bhogley was declared Man of the Match.
Gorkha Brigade, Lucknow will lock horns with Kanchenjungha Football Club, Siliguri in the first pre-quarter final match of the tournament at the same venue tomorrow. The kick-off is at 3.00 p.m.(SNS)
