Darjeeling, Jul 13 (UNI) The people of Darjeeling today paid glowing tributes to poet Bhanu Bhakta, who had translated the Valmiki Sanskrit Ramayana, into his mother language Nepali.
At a main official programme hosted by the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) at Chowrasta, the hub of this hilly town, people from all walks of life had assembled to mark the 206th birth anniversary of Nepali poet Bhanu Bhakta.
This year it was jointly organized by the GTA Information and Culture department along with the state government.
