Kohima, August 24 (MExN): Balidan Diwas (Martyrs Day) in memory of martyr Saheed Major Durga Malla & Martyr Saheed Capt Neikezhakuo Kenguruse and other martyrs will be organized by the Gorkha Public Panchayat, Kohima in association with Gorkha NGOs & Clubs at Gorkha Public Panchayat Hall, Chandmari, Kohima on August 25 at 5:00 pm
The event will be attended by all advisors of GPPK and Kamal Bahadur Chettri, Gaon Bura (GB) as special invitees observing SOP with minimal attendance while other members of the community within and outside the state will join the programme virtually.
The highlights of the programme will be deep prajwalan and paying rich floral tribute to the gallant heroes for their supreme sacrifice by the Gorkha leaders, GB and the Gorkha Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen apart from speeches on significance of Balidan Diwas and presentation of patriotic songs by individuals.
