Darjeeling, Apr 15 : Rubbishing the possibility of a separate Gorkhaland, Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) president Subhash Ghising today reiterated that a separate state will never be created.
''Gorkhaland will never be possible. Bengal will not be divided,'' the GNLF president said at a public meeting near Chowk Bazaar here ahead of the coming West Bengal Assembly polls.
''I will stay in the Hills. The police has to provide me protection. If they fail, I will resort to Village Protection Committee for security,'' he added.

Mr Ghishing recently appeared in the Hills after three years of forced exile claiming that he had given the Gorkhas an identity and slammed the GJM for ''misleading the people with interim set up of the Darjeeling administration.'' Ghising also demanded the passing of the Sixth schedule bill.He also hinted that the GNLF would extend its support to whoever comes to power after the coming Assembly elections.The GNLF candidates are contesting the polls from Kurseong, Kalimpong and Darjeeling seats.Countering the GNLF, major hill outfit Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) reiterated their demand for a separate state.
