Inter-Dozang Taekwondo Poomsae Championship (IDTP) held at Paljor Stadium

Gangtok/Sikkim- A day long Inter-Dozang Taekwondo Poomsae Championship (IDTP) was held today here at Gymnasium Hall of Paljor Stadium, Gangtok organized by the Sikkim Amateur Taekwondo Association (SATA). State Chief Coach (SATA), Trilok Subba who was also the referee for the day said that, this is the 3rd State Taekwondo Championship where the participants from the different schools had taken part. Those participants were MCM Dozang, West Point School, Namchi Taekwondo, Uttarey School including Tashi Namgyal Academy, Gangtok. During the championship, the events were divided into three parts, individual (Sub-Junior and Junior), pairs (1 girls and 1 boys), team (three team each boy and girl). Today’s day long championship was a preparatory event for the East Zonal Taekwondo Championship and also for the 5th National Taekwondo championship which is scheduled to be held in Shillong in December 2011. Today the Inter-Dozang Taekwondo Poomsae Championship was won by MCM Dozang whereas Tashi Namgyal Academy were the runner up.Further it was informed that, a winter coaching camp is also scheduled to be held at MCM Dozang, Whitehall Gangtok in the month of December for those gold, silver and bronze medalists who they had been chosen in today’s championship.
