Labour department Sikkim organised awareness programme at teesta hydel power project stage six

SANJAY AGARWAL-RANGPO-8^TH NOV- Labour department Sikkim has organised a day long awareness programme on labour laws at thalethale south Sikkim at the project site of tista hydel power project stage six   for the labours and man workers of Hindustan Construction Company. In the said programme Mr. pradeep Kumar DGM of HCC was present as a chief guest of the programme .from the labour department  joint labour commissioner N/E Mr. abhisan rai,south/west Mr. chewang gyatso,deputy labour commissioner  Mr. D S Kanwar  (east),inspector subash rai,rekha  tamang was  present as a resource department. In the awareness programme the resources persons specially highlighted the 17 labour laws implemented in the state in favour of  labour and man workers of the state. toll today bonded labour system(abolition) act 1976,equal remuneration act 1976,inter state migrant works man act 1983,Sikkim shop and  commercial  establishment  act 1983,worksman compensation act 1923,fatal  accident act 1855,employer  liability act 1938,child labours(prohibitation and regulation act)1986,payment of wages act 1936,employee provident fund and misc provision act 1952,payment of wages act 1936,building  and  other  construction workers act 1996,building and other construction workers  welfare cess act 1996,minimum wages act  1948,Sikkim labour  protection act 2005,un organised  workers  social security act  2008,and apprentics act 1961,was specially  discussed and  given details at the awareness programme .the interaction programme was also organised in the programme.
