Gorkha News | Inculcating scientific temper among school children

DIMAPUR, Jan 31: Educational tour cum community exchange programme was organised by Vivela Club Kohima, a premier Club of Gorkha Community from January 28-30 at Upper Chandmari Kohima. The programme was organised with the objective of inculcating scientific temper in school children by visiting scientific institutions in Kohima and Dimapur.

As a part of the programme the educational tour to Dimapur was flagged off by Mhalevolie Pienyü, Chairman, Upper Chandmari Panchayat Council, Kohima on 29th Jan.

2012 in Presence of B.B Gurung President, Gorkha Public Panchayat, Dhan Prasad Sharma, President, Gorkha Students Union, Kohima and Bijoy Basnet, G.B, Upper Chandmari  Kohima. Students visited Nagaland Science Centre, Rajbari, Railway Station and Nagaland Zoological Park in Dimapur. In Kohima the student visited II world war cemetery, Doordarshan Kendra, Cathedral, Gorkha Singha Devi Mandir, Bethel Medical Center, AIR, BSNL.
