The Akhil Bharatiya Gorkha League (ABGL) has alleged chief minister Mamata Banerjee of collecting votes by labeling the Gorkhaland agitation as communal. ABGL general secretary Pratap Khati today speaking to the reporters said that Gorkhaland is a constitutional demand which is meant for the rights and the identities of the Gorkhas. He recommended the CM to trace the history of the Gorkhas and their demand. He added that Gorkhaland formation is a must as the language, literature and history of the Gorkhas does not match with the state of West Bengal. Lastly he blamed that the CM through her statement is trying to bring in votes for her party from the Maoists.
