Gorkhaland name declaration day will be observed

Amid much hue and cry about the Gorkhaland demand and its agitation called on by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM), lately possibility for Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) to enter the turbulent scene has risen. Chances of GNLF activists to launch their dormant Gorkhaland agitation which was called on by their supremo Subash Ghising 32 years ago, has created a buzz in the hills. It is also being opined that the GNLF is seizing opportunity from the tiff between the GJM and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) to carry forward and make their agitation stronger this time.After a long gap Kalimpong witnessed posters of the GNLF being stuck at various places between Damber Chowk and 10th Mile. The postering was conducted by the GNLF activists. “On the eve of 32nd party foundation day on 5th April, 2013, Gorkhaland name declaration day will be observed”, read a poster.
