Those who have joined TMC are opportunists - GJVM

“Those who have joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) are all opportunists who do not want Gorkhaland”, said the various spokespersons of the Gorkha Janmukti Vidyarthi Morcha (GJVM) during a meeting held at the Ram Krishna Rang Manch . The GJM central committee members Tara Lohar and Bijay Sundas, GJVM leaders Deep Thapa, Bandana Yonzon and Bal Krishna Thapa, GTA Sabhasad Sanjay Thapa, Roger Subba, Diwakar Giri and the Sub Divisional Committee Coordinator, Norden Lama, were the spokespersons for the day.Deep Thapa in his address said that as per the GTA agreement, the state government had assured of seat reservations for the students of the hills in the central universities, establishment of a Technical Institution in the hills, establishment of a Central University, etc. which has not been fulfilled. Thapa said that Gorkhaland is a must which will be attained anyhow.Prior to the meeting students from different schools of Kalimpong gathered at the Novelty Cinema, Kanchan Cinema, Haat Bazaar and Kalimpong College and proceeded towards the meeting venue in a queue.The meeting presided over by Dipen Thapa, GJVM Central Committee Vice President has GTA Sabhasad Sanjay Thulung as the Chief Guest.
