Mirik: The youth wing of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha today took a resolution to start a fresh movement for Gorkhaland at a meeting presided over by sub-divisional committee president Yogesh Golay.
Golay said the GTA is not a solution for the Gorkhas as it cannot fulfill the dream for a separate state. Speaking to reporters, he said, “The Yuwa Morcha will approach the people of the tea gardens to discuss the issue of Gorkhaland and appeal for moral support. We will soon start an awareness programme on the Gorkhaland issue.
The Yuwa Morcha also submitted a resolution to GJM and GTA chief Bimal Gurung today for rejuvenating the agitation for Gorkhaland. Golay added the Yuwa Morcha and Vidhyarthi Morcha stand on the same platform to ensure a bright future for the youths and students.
According to him, the Yuva Morcha has already chalked out various programmes that would soon be kick-started.(EOI)
