Plantation labour union submits 14 point charter to mgmt

DEEP PRADHAN,MIRIK(EOI): The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha-affiliated Darjeeling-Terai-Dooars plantation labour union today held a meeting at the youth hostel in Mirik to highlight to the management of Murma tea garden the problems faced by workers and other employees. 

According to the union’s Mirik zonal president Ajam Pradhan, various problems being faced by the workers of Murma tea garden were discussed extensively at the meeting. The union has submitted a charter comprising 14 demands to the management, which assured the workers all issues would be addressed after it holds talks with higher officials of the garden.
