Siliguri, 9 July: The north Bengal development
minister, Mr Gautam Deb is expected to inaugurate the ‘Ramakrishna
Mission Nivedita Educational And Cultural Centre’ at Roy Villa located
on Lebong Road in Darjeeling tomorrow.
Sister Nivedita had breathed her last on 13 October, 1911 at Roy Vila.
The eminent scientist, Jagadish Chandra Bose brought her here as she had been ailing for some time.
She first came to Darjeeling with Jagadish Chandra Bose in 1903.
The decision was taken in a meeting at the North Bengal Development Department (NBDD) office in Siliguri yesterday.
Swami Nitya Satyananda was present at the meeting on behalf of the Ramakrishna Mission.
He was selected the secretary of the centre.
