In
a meeting held in Darjeeling of GJAC (Gorkhaland Joint Action
Committee), it has decided to open tomorrow only (i.e. August 31 will
remain normal day). There will be continuous bandh After September 1.
However, the fate of Schools and Colleges will be decided on the meeting on September 1, in Darjeeling, between Schools/College Teachers, Students and GJAC members.
It is also decided that September 2 and 3 will be observed as Janta Ghar Vitra (people inside house – Janta curfew), on the scheduled visit of Mamata Banerjee to Kalimpong.
The bandh will remain indefinite after September 4.
A delegation of GJAC members along with MLAs will visit Delhi shortly to meet with NDA and UPA leaders regarding Gorkhaland issue.
