United Gorkha Revolutionary Front(UGRF)
president Ajay Dahal today told media persons that leaders of the
ongoing agitation should keep in mind the negative impact to the
education of students by their involvement in political programmes and
suggested new strategies be charted for taking the movement forward.
Pointing at the impact of the bandh on
education and tourism, Dahal said these two should be kept away from the
bandh’s purview in all future programmes.
“Students should be fighting with pen
and paper instead. Therefore, they should be kept away from the bandh’s
purview. We want our leaders to find a way out to carry on the agitation
without hampering the education of students,” he said.
Dahal further said the ongoing
non-violent agitation should be guided properly to reach the ultimate
goal of statehood. “If the leaders do not compromise with setups in the
future, the ‘Janta’ agitation will surely pay off one day with the
achievement of statehood,” he remarked.(EOIC)
