the rest of the country, Cooch Behar today observed the 84th martyrdom
anniversary of the great Indian freedom fighter and socialist leader
Bhagat Singh and his comrades Rajguru and Sukhdev.
On the occasion, the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) backed student organisation All India Democratic Students Organisation members paid homage to the great revolutionary leader by offering flowers to his statue near Bank of Sagardighi building in Cooch Behar.
Bhagat Singh, an Indian socialist, is considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement.
The British government had hanged Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on this day in 1931 at 7:30 pm after they were found guilty by the British court over Lahore Conspiracy Case. (EOIC)
