Dooars GJM begin unit meetings

The Dooars branch committee of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha has begun holding meetings at unit level across the region. While meetings have been slated to be held in all the units, today they were held at Chuapara, Mechpara and Bhatpara tea gardens under Kalchini block as informed by Morcha leader Rajesh Sharma.
The speakers claimed voting for BJP is the only alternative to bring forth development and progress for the people of Dooars, Terai and hills alike. Addressing a meeting, the Dooars GJM leader Ashok Lama said as the high command of the party has extended support to BJP, the Gorkhas living in Dooars must ensure the BJP candidate wins here in all circumstances.
However, a few pro-BJP analysts are of the view that even though the GJM, JMM and BJP are continuing with election campaigns in the area, the presentation has not been up to the mark. GJM sources said owing to the inadequate supply, the villages and towns are yet to be decked up with BJP flags and banners.
