Two senior GNLF leaders from Soureni join GJM

Soureni-based Bungkulung unit of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha today held a meeting in Bungkulung and welcomed two new members and their family into the party fold from rival Gorkha National Liberation Front. The GJM Bungkulung unit president Deepak Rai presided over the meeting on Monday which saw the official induction of Meting Subba and Shantika Subba. The two breakaway leaders from the GNLF were among the most dedicated and hardworking members of the party and could prove to be a dampener for the resurgent Subhash Ghisingh led party.

The GJM sub-divisional committee member Rajen Subba and Soureni unit general secretary Ishan Subba handed over the party flag to the new members and welcomed them into the party. Miting Subba after officially joining the GJM said the GNLF in its 21 years of existence has failed to bring any major development in the hills and has not fulfilled its promises. “I will now work with the same enthusiasm and zeal for the development of the hills in a new way,” he added.(EOIC)
