Senior Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) leader arrested in kalimpong

In an interesting turn of events in Kalimpong today, a senior Gorkha Janmukti Morcha leader was arrested by the police for his alleged involvement in an arson case dating back to 2009. Dalbir Bhujel was picked up by the police this evening from the market area for his alleged involvement in burning of several government and private properties during the statehood agitations in 2009. Bhujel is the joint president of the GJM’s Kalimpong Ward No. 42 unit. He has been booked under section 147/148/149/436 of the IPC, while a case has also been filed under the RWSST Act of IPC section 3. (EOIC)
