West Bengal Chief
minister Mamata Banerjee is visiting Darjeeling hills again on 13th
October for her five days visit but this time she will trek to
Sandakphu, the highest peak of the State, at over 12,000 feet about 26
kilometers from Maneybhanjan.
Sudip Sarkar, ASP of Darjeeling Sadar police station informed that Mamata will reach Darjeeling on 13th and will back on 17th October.
The chief minister is expected to announce several developmental projects for Darjeeling hills and will promote the tourism by trekking to Sandakphu for the first time.
It is leant that Mamata Banerjee will create the history being the first chief minister of India if she treks the highest mountain peak of Darjeeling.(EOIC)
