To
bring about relief to the landslide victims in the region, a team of
specialist doctors from Siliguri and Nepal under the aegis of Himalayan
Orange Tourism Council (HOTC) in association with Darjeeling Salamander
Tourism Welfare Society (DSTWS) will be organizing a free health camp at
lower Toklang under Mirik block on Sunday, 12 July, from 09.00 am to
04.00 pm.
The team consisting of 6 doctors along with medical experts from Kakarvitta Eye Hospital, in Jhapa, Nepal, Neotia Gatewell, Siliguri, and Mother's Care Centre, in Bagdogra will conduct free consultations and checkups in cardiology, internal medicine, gastroenterology, and dental-specialties. In addition to this, free blood pressure checkup, blood sugar checkup; BMI checkup will be carried out to create awareness about diabetes and hypertension which has a high incidence in situation of chaos. The visitors will also be offered free medicines. (HS)
