National Lok-Adalat at Kalimpong Court solves 22 cases

Mukesh Sharma: The Lok Adalat realized Rs 4,31,50 and settled Rs 2,41,500 rupees in National Lok Adalat in the presence of Utpal Mishra, Additional District Judge, T.N bhutia Senior Advocate, Kalimpong Bar Association and Roma Moktan, Teacher-in- charge of Pranimi Balika Vidhya Mandir on Saturday.

Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee organized National  Lok-Adalat at Kalimpong Court Building,(Session Court). The Adalat held over the day settled 22 loans cases out of 256 . Out of 141 cases referred by the State Bank of India 18 were settled.Similarly, 2 cases out of 14 of Union Bank of India was settled, 1 each of Central Bnak of India Algarah and Lava Branch was also settled. However, the pre-litigation case referred by Bank of India and Central Bank of India Kalimpong Branch couldn’t be settled although they had 44 odd cases, it was known that no litigant turned up from this bank.
