An underground outfit calling itself Taz reportedly hacked the official
website of the Siliguri police on Tuesday night. The hackers claimed the
attack on the website was orchestrated in protest of the incidents in
JNU and Jadavpur University where anti-India slogans were raised by some
vested elements. When the site is opened, a message appears saying,
"You have been hacked by Taz. We are against JNU & Jadavpur .. Just
get out from India or we will keep attacking these websites. Good Luck."
Meanwhile, police officials in Siliguri said they have asked the cyber
crime branch to make a through inquiry into the matter. (EOIC)
