KATHMANDU: Police said they have arrested an Indian national who was found to be working in Kuwait with a forged Nepali passport and deported to Nepal upon her arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
The Nepali Embassy in Kuwait had deported Priti Rai Subba (28), a permanent resident of Warmetokal Namphig of Sikkim, on Tuesday after it was discovered that the woman was carrying the passport of one Sabitri Kumari Chhetri of Panchapur-6, Nawalparasi, with the photograph on it replaced with hers.
Subba who reached Kuwait via Mumbai, India on July 14 this year, was working as a housemaid there.
