Kalimpong, January 21:Anil Verma, Administrator of DGHC visited Kalimpong to discuss on the acute problems of Kalimpong and finding solution thereof. In his presence officials and engineers of concerned departments and state discussed regarding the sewage and potable water scarcity problem of Kalimpong. The meeting resolved that Municipality Engineering Directorate will prepare a project for pumping the water from Relli and Teesta River for the distribution of water to solve the problem of water crisis of Kalimpong. It also resolved to formulate a project of solving the sewage and dumping problem of Kalimpong. A proposal to cancel the proposed dumping ground and dumping chute now under construction and find an alternative was also forwarded in the meeting.
