Kolkata, Jun 27 : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would meet the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) leadership tomorrow to discuss the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) election slated for July 29, Writers' Buildings sources today said.
The meeting between the chief minister and the GJM leaders would be held at the state secretariat at 1400 hours, the sources confirmed.
Earlier, a letter written to Ms Banerjee on behalf of the GJM leadership, reached the chief minister's secretariat during the day seeking discussion with her on the matter during June 29/30.
GJM chief Bimal Gurung before leaving for New Delhi on June 25 had hinted that they were likely to meet the chief minister after their return from the capital.
The chief minister's nod to the GJM's 'request' came a day after pro-GJM group Terai Dooars Joint Action Coordination Committee (TDJACC) maintained that it was not averse to the GJM's contesting the July 19 GTA election.
