Siliguri, Dec. 1: Minister Gautam Deb today inaugurated the public music system facility in eight traffic points of the town as a build-up to the Siliguri carnival which begins from December 15

“From today, the theme song of Siliguri carnival penned and composed by Nachiketa and the jingle composed by local musicians would be played in all these traffic points to give people a feel that the carnival is ahead. Also, giant festoons, danglers and banners, displaying details about the carnival and Sillu, the official mascot of the carnival, have been put in prominent locations here,” Deb said.

The north Bengal development minister, who inaugurated the facility at Airview More, said similar public music systems had also been made operational in other crossings like Sevoke More, Hashmi Chowk, Panitanki More, Jalpai More, Darjeeling More, Champasari More and Bhaktinagar P.S. More.
