A Geological Survey of India team will conduct a survey of the
vulnerable zones in Mirik, Darjeeling district magistrate Anurag
Srivastav said on Tuesday. The team is scheduled to reach Mirik on
Wednesday. Thirty-two people died in the July 1 landslides in the hills
and Mirik was the worst-hit area. Some people are still missing. “We
have set up 49 relief camps where around 3,200 people are staying,"
Srivastav added. (HS)
