Kalimpong|Mukesh Sharma: The incessant downpour in Kalimpong town for the last few days has created much mess for the people. The news of minute landslides has been reported in and around Kalimpong town but the good news is that the loss of lives and property has not been reported till date. 80 mm of the rainfall was recorded in Kalimpong town following yesterday night. Places like Algaraha, Pedong, Lava and the NH31A are said to be troubled most by the monsoon.The Meteorological Department on the other hand has informed that there is a chance of 24 hours of rainfall in Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri and Coochbihar. Following the monsoon there has been jump down in the temperature too.
