Siliguri, 7 July: The North Bengal Flood Control Commission (NBFCC) has introduced a helpline number so that anybody can be updated with the monsoon situation in the region.
People can place their queries regarding the weather report, rainfall, flood situation and whether the water levels of the rivers have been increased after dialing on 18003453231.
“The helpline number has been introduced recently,” said NBFCC chairman, Mr Gangadhar De.
“It would help people to remain alert. People are calling on this number. We also provide the data provided by the India Meteorological Department on weather," he said. The number would remain open for 24 hours. SNS
